Just like caterpillars, babies undergo remarkable developmental processes. Caterpillars go through physical changes and growth as they transition through various stages to become a beautiful butterfly. Our newborns and infants also undergo incredible development, continuing to grow and develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally throughout infancy. Our infant room team is skilled at helping our babies undergo fascinating and complex developmental journeys.
Alma's Baby World and Early Learning Center begins enrolling newborns at six weeks of age. We ask that parents bring the following items to school in a zipped diaper bag:
Chilled premixed bottles (we are not allowed to prepare bottles)
Two complete changes of clothes (unwashed dirty clothes will be sent home)
Two pairs of socks
Five bibs
10-12 diapers per day (diaper usage varies by day)
Baby wipes
Pacifier (without clip)
Sleep sack (we are not allowed to use blankets)
REMOVE all medication from your baby's bag.
Children may develop a cold or mild illness, regardless of age, within the first two weeks of group childcare. Additionally, a baby's eating, sleeping, and wetting patterns may initially change during the transition.
