BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Location: San Bartolo Teontepec, Tepanco de Lopez, Tehuacán
Cost: Free! We provide 3 meals a day on each full working day and accommodation for the duration of your stay. Volunteers are responsible for all other expenses, including travel.
Work Days: Monday through Saturday; Saturdays are half days and no work on Sundays
Arrival Days: We welcome volunteers to join us on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before 6 pm
Accommodation: Our base is located in a community complex. Volunteers can expect to sleep in large, coed communal rooms. There is space for personal tents available on the property grounds if volunteers would like to bring their own to sleep in. You will need to provide your own bedding (air mattress, sleeping bag/blanket, pillow, etc.)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on full work days. Breakfast and lunch available on Saturday. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated.
WiFi: There is WiFi available on base.
Access: There are many Taquerias and some small markets in the area for volunteers to eat and purchase snacks. The nearest ATM and other large supermarkets/department stores are located in Tehuacan, a 30-minute car ride away. Volunteers will have access to public transportation and taxis to travel to Tehuacan
