Hellbender eDNA

Environmental DNA can be very useful when looking for hard-to-find and rare animals, while also helping to preserve the environment they are living in. Using only water samples from the stream, and some high-tech lab equipment and skills, these Seneca Valley students have been studying the stream by our school to find out if the Eastern Hellbender (our state amphibian), might be lurking underneath the big rocks in the Connoquenessing Creek drainage.
