The first part introduces viewers to our RAIL Project. The RAIL Project is a NGSS-ready, 5E learning cycle approach, where participants will learn how to classify living aquatic macroinvertebrates to show how these invertebrates interact within a stream habitat. Participants will gain an insight into concepts and processes that occur within the mysterious world of stream ecology as well as leave with the RAIL Project webpage full of resources to get started in your local watershed.
During the second part, you will see four of our Allendale Middle School students presenting their Fall 2021 data and results on a first order stream located in Allendale, MI. This research is still ongoing. Links to the RAIL Project webpage and RAIL Bizstream App can be found here: bit.ly/RAILPage
