We are looking for volunteers to help coach applicants who are looking to get either a pardon or an expungement or sealing of their record. Coaches will be trained by experts at no cost. You can join the team by volunteering to be a coach!

Help people determine their eligibility for record sealing, expungement, or pardoning
Connect applicants with Northwestern Legal Services if they may be eligible for sealing or expungement under the Clean Slate law
Coach people through the pardon process if that seems like the best route to record-clearing
Are familiar with the necessary paperwork and procedures
Treat clients with empathy and compassion
Help people get the second chances they deserve!

NWLS helps us train volunteers in eligibility for record sealing or expungement under the state's Clean Slate Law. They are a non-profit law firm that provides free legal aid to eligible clients in northwestern PA counties.
Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity started the Pardon Project in 2018. In 2020, PLSE began helping areas outside Philadelphia form their own Pardon Projects. The Pennsylvania Association of Pardon Projects was formed the following year.
