All students take three Psychometric tests in Ciaflo. We believe that every student is uniquely equipped with innate gifts, talents, preferences and personalities. This collection of Psychometric tests, draws on work by Jung, and Gardner and helps our students gain personal insight and confidence, into what makes them unique. These tests provide suggested pathways into the working world, which students can use to begin to thier exploration of careers and their own future pathway.
Encourages students to reflect on what is the best environment for them to learn effectively.
Using Jung's and Briggs Myers theory of psychological types this test characterize students by their preference of general attitude, resulting in a "Personality Type" for students to reflect on and explore.
Using the theory of multiple intelligences proposed by Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner, this test helps students see what thier full range of abilities and talents are.
These tests combine to give each student a "Careers and Pathway" section, which is explored in lessons, and students can access anytime for their own research.
The Careers and Pathway section will list careers that the psychometric testing feels the student might be suited to. Each career choice will show:
A job description
Typical tasks and activities within this job role
Job outlook for future employability
Skills and abilities to succeed
Salary
Mapping of the students intelligence's compared to the industry average
Tests are reviewed with the HE Team during the student's one-to-one meetings in Year 10 and Year 11 to discuss their future pathways.
All notes are recorded in Cialfo and can be emailed to parents on request.
Students and parents can also request a meeting anytime
