What will I study in Year 9?
Students study rivers initially in year 9 before moving onto look at the concept of sustainability.
A study of current global challenges will broaden student's understanding of our world today.
Students may take part in fieldwork in Wroxham and on the River Glaven to support them with fieldwork skills.
Students will also spend time focusing on geographical skills, which are essential for GCSE geography.
Core knowledge is vital to your long term learning in geography.
The booklet contains the essential knowledge we would like all year 8 students to have by the end of the year.
Wider reading list
The geography department recommends widening your knowledge of the units we are studying during year 8. The list provides some suggestions to get you started.
We would love to know if you read any of these books or have any more suggestions to add to the list
