You can add images in a number of different ways.
The quickest way to add an image is to click the icon of the square with the 2 mountains in it.
When you click it you will see SIX different choices.
If you have already SAVED or DOWNLOADED the image or photo choose UPLOAD FROM COMPUTER.
If you want to browse GOOGLE IMAGES, choose SEARCH THE WEB. This will open up a thin window on the right of your screen to scroll through to choose from.
Click the image you want, then click INSERT and it will appear on your doc where your cursor is.

TOP TIP
To add an image without a background so it is clear, add PNG after your search
e.g. Cheese PNG will bring up results that have transparent (see through) backgrounds.
If you already have the image or photo in your Google Drive, choose DRIVE.
If you want to take a photo with your webcam, choose CAMERA and then it will open the camera app and you can take a photo to add to your doc.
