Covid Response

From the Ministries Reopening Team: 3/6/24

“Despite the change in CDC guidelines, Aldersgate Covid-19 policy will remain the same at least until Washington Department of Health and KINGCO guidelines change. Mask wear will continue to be optional for all who participate in in-person worship. As for people who test positive for Covid-19, employees will remain isolated until they have twice tested negative. It is recommended that congregants who test positive remain away from in-person worship until they have twice tested negative.”

The Aldersgate Ministry Reopening Team (MRT) have led our church community throughout the pandemic in adjusting to protect the health of the people within and served by our church community. We continue to commit to do all we can to slow the spread of the virus and keep it from overwhelming the health care systems as we step forward in love and trust.

MRT Announcement – 6/13/22

After two long years, we continue to step forward and navigate through the pandemic with truth and love. Effective immediately Aldersgate Church will be mask-optional for all building users including during worship. Due to the higher risk, masks will still be mandatory for all when singing, so please plan ahead and bring a mask if wanting to participate in congregational singing. The MRT (Ministry Reopening Team) will continue to keep reviewing our covid-related policies and communicate changes as needed.

Please note it is still very important that if you have symptoms you stay at home and follow all guidelines regarding exposures and illnesses. Aldersgate Church’s hope is to be intentional in offering a safe and welcoming environment for all. All are welcome at Aldersgate Church. Whether someone chooses or does not choose to wear a mask shall be respected without judgment or comment. Masks and at-home tests will continue to be available.

Aldersgate Church will still offer online worship live on Facebook at 10am as well as have it available on YouTube and Facebook Sunday afternoons.

Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall,

so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!
