Dorothy Frazier

Dorothy Frazier was born in Montgomery, AL. Daughter of a father who was a master bricklayer, and a mother who was a nurse. Frazier is a proud graduate of Alabama State University. In fact, she was just in her freshman year when the historic Selma to Montgomery march, and surrounding events took place. Frazier was active in student activism on campus from advocating for a new student union to sitting in at the president’s office. Frazier has been to committed to a career in social work and public service; she worked closely with Governor Don Siegelman before launching her own mayoral campaign in Montgomery. Frazier married Ceasar Piedrahita in 2008, and has two children, Wendell and Keith.
