The student health and counseling center has a mission to help our UAF students stay healthy, grow and develop personally, and do as well as they can in their university studies. We offer a variety of services at the center, including medical care, counseling and assistance with the graduate and international student insurance plans.
The UAF Community Mental Health Clinic is dedicated to providing mental health counseling services to the UAF community, and community members of Fairbanks and surrounding areas. Telehealth counseling services are available for individuals residing in Alaska, outside of Fairbanks.

The goal of UAF Disability Services is to provide UAF students with access to academic classes and course materials through an interactive accommodation process.
Rural Student Services strives to foster a sense of belonging by providing cross-cultural, comprehensive advising. We help you navigate everything from degree planning and class registration to all steps of applying for financial aid, including applying for the FAFSA and obtaining scholarships through tribal and regional corporation resources.
UAF is a military friendly college that offers in-state tuition, credits for military training, VA educational benefits advising and other resources for veteran and military students.
The Commons serves as an inclusive and diverse gathering space for the UAF faith community, recognizing and celebrating the needs of the Student. Unique Offer - FREE* virtual Four Week Koru Mindfulness Meditation courses
If you are curious about mindfulness or are struggling to maintain a consistent mindfulness practice this 4 week course is perfect for you!
WHO - Anyone seeking to cultivate more joy and connection in their life. This course is recommended for individuals 18-90+ years old. All are welcome!
WHAT - Class meets for 75 minutes once a week for 4 weeks. You will be asked to practice for 10 minutes a day and share reflections of your practice in a private log on the app. Your teachers will regularly access and read your logs and provide thoughtful feedback to help you deepen your practice and understanding of mindfulness. A: The instructors are Teachers-in-Training who are seeking to complete their teacher certification requirements which include teaching a minimum number of courses. We hope you will register and commit to attend class to help us complete our Koru Mindfulness Teacher certification.
