The space

'the Well' is based in room 334 in the Duckering Building (1760 Tanana Loop - see map below), on the University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus.

The space was created on a shoe-string budget and from donations of resources and time. A volunteer day started the ball rolling by clearing the space (thank you to those that took part).

Activities in 'the Well' are also geared towards promoting wellbeing, including free meditation classes and wellbeing talks. The site will also have open swipe card access for all UAF student staff and faculty - allowing open use as a digitally minimal lounge and meeting place.

The space is being created around contemporary design concepts geared towards promoting wellbeing - including plants, quality lighting, color, white noise, ergonomic furniture, digital minimalism (no laptop use, no cell phone use and no negativity of any kind :).
