The Tag Tree is case and character sensitive. If a tag is not exact, assistive technology cannot read it. You can modify any tag by simply double clicking the tag and typing in the desired tag. However, be careful to get tags correct: <table> is not a table tag whereas <Table> is.
If you are working through a lengthy PDF and have to save and return later, you can leave yourself a note outside of the tag. For example: <L> pick back up here. The additional words outside of the brackets to not break the accessibility of the PDF. This is also helpful if you are working on a PDF with other people or if you want to have someone check your work. For example <Table> please double check for accuracy.
