Google for Educators is an 8 week class that takes enrolled students through the basics of Google tools and apps and builds upon each other towards and advance usage learning beyond Google Suites; incorporated within these blocks will give Educators an experience of how these tools can be used in their own teaching. For this Experience the main form of communication will be gmail, including google chat, and google hangout for mandatory meetings every 2 weeks, along with any collaborations with fellow Educators. These meetings will take place over Google Hangout starting in Block 2 on Mondays from 6pm-7:30pm.
Since Google is the heart of this Experience, the LMS that your School District may easily be imported or exported into and out of Google Classroom, by using Google Assignments and Gradebook. Another form of LMS with Google is PowerSchool Learning that allows an Educator to design and manage a classroom online. Information about using PowerSchool may be found at the following site: PowerSchool Learning.
If educators in this experience have any questions or problems working through the blocks the best way to contact one of the teachers is to send a direct email through gmail.
