Argos is a powerful dashboard and reporting solution designed for both novice and expert users. Its intuitive interface and accurate data help deliver the insights you need to make informed decisions.

The University of Alaska has connected the Argos dashboards and reports to the Banner production reporting environment. The data is near real-time data, mirroring production within 90 seconds.
Data from the Concur travel system and the PaymentNet card program system can also be seen in Argos. These data feed into the Banner tables in an overnight process so they are from the end of the prior day.
How can I request access to Argos?
If you are managing grants for principal investigators at the university, you can get access to Argos. The easiest way to get access is to fill out the NextGen form below. Your supervisor will need to provide approval. Contact your University Security Coordinator if you have questions.
Two types of access:
Banner Finance query access to see all finance data in Argos.
Banner HR general query access to see HR labor and job information.

Is Argos going to replace TOAD?
Is Argos going to replace TOAD?
No — Argos is not replacing TOAD. There are no plans to retire TOAD.
Argos is simply an additional tool for accessing university data. Its dashboards and reports pull real‑time information from Banner, Concur, and PaymentNet, presenting it in easy‑to‑read tables and graphs. Users can filter and refine results through drop‑down menus and type‑in fields, making it a flexible option for viewing and analyzing data alongside existing tools like TOAD.
What is an OLAP cube?
OLAP stands for online analytical processing. OLAP cubes allow you to drag and drop dimensions, then filter, group, and sort the data to get the information you need quickly and easily. They have sometimes been called "a million spreadsheets in a box" because of how easily they can be rearranged to convey completely different information.
