Alaska Indigenous Teacher Network

> Facilitate regional cross-organizational meetings and communication, provide recommendations for who to talk to and how, help identify potential local partners for GYO, help build capacity to support this work in a sustainable system 

> Facilitate cross-organizational and cross-district sharing on GYO efforts

> Collaborate with UAF for support developing key messaging and materials for community outreach (content + slides, handouts, etc.)

> Work with districts to identify technology barriers for students and local solutions (UAF faculty provide tech support in UAF classes)

> Work with districts to identify multiple points of contact in the district and in partner organzations (including UAF) to assist with troubleshooting and pre-service teacher support

 > Work with districts to articulate the characteristics/situational location of district or regional based person(s) who are best suited to support sustainable GYO programs

> Organize advocacy to the legislature to make basic competency exams (Praxis) formative rather than gatekeeping 

> Send a UAF SOE advisor to a district professional devleopment activity for face-to-face communication and connection

> Alaska Indigenous Teacher Network – Connecting and supporting Indigenous UA teacher alumni teaching in Alaska’s schools
