Coach Sandlin will be going into his sixth year as the Head Coach for the Mean Moose. Among his roles as the head coach he will also serve as the Offensive Coordinator. Coach has a overall record of 24-21 and has lead to the moose to their first playoff win since the 2006 state championship and their first hosted playoff game in the stadium that was built in 2014. Coach Sandlin comes from Denver, but is extremely excited to be here coaching and teaching at Alamosa High School and enjoys everything the Valley has to offer.

Playing History: Coach Sandlin was a 3-year Varsity starter at Rock Canyon High School, then was a scholarship player at Fort Lewis College until he walked on to the team at Colorado State University. He then joined the baseball team and played baseball until graduation.
His Why: Coach Sandlin loves coaching High School football and considers himself lucky to have been able to have found his passion in life. He shows up to the field everyday because he truly enjoys building relationships with his athletes and he cares about every single person in the program. He cannot wait to see these young boys grow into men and hopes that he can have a positive impact on each one.

Coach Winters has been a part of the Alamosa Staff for many years now and is the only Coach on staff to experience the State Championships of the 2000's. Coach Winters is truly loved by his athletes and goes above and beyond to build relationships with the team. Coach Winters coaches the most important positions on the Field - offensive and defensive line. Without Coach Winters' leadership, Alamosa would not have the success that they have. Coach is instrumental to the Mean Moose success on and off the football field.

Playing History: Coach Winters played his High School ball at Buena High School in Arizona, then continued his career as a walk on at Adams State University.
His Why: Coach Winters believes Coaching football is something special. The ability to bring young minds together and to work towards a common goal, is pretty special. His favorite part about coaching is watching/experiencing those special moments when student athletes grow up.
