On Wednesday, March 30, 2022 starting at 8:40 am Juniors will be taking the NM-ASR (New Mexico Assessment of Science Readiness) Test here at Alamogordo High School.
This is a graduation requirement for your student to graduate (Mandatory Testing)
Please make sure your Junior is present this day for the whole testing day
A great breakfast, special lunch and amazing snacks will be provided to the Juniors
All electronic devices will be surrendered during the testing period
Please refrain from signing your student out during testing on this day
Those Juniors who bring their completed crossword puzzle will score a prize so make sure your Junior is here~they don't want to miss out
Juniors can wear their coolest music shirt

The ASVAB is an aptitude test developed by the Department of Defense. It is offered free to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders through a Career Exploration program.
ASVAB is a great career assessment tool that can help you identify which career areas best suit you. Because this is an aptitude test, it doesn’t just tell you what you are currently good at, it will also tell you what you may be good at learning. For example, you may know nothing about electronics but your scores may say you have the ability to learn electronics. After completing the ASVAB, you will have access to an online career exploration program for 18 months.
Taking the ASVAB does NOT obligate you to join the military, but you may share your scores with a military recruiter if you are interested.
