Foodies from all around the world!
Hey there! We’re Daniela and Lucía. As you know, there are lots of countries on Earth, and all of them have different cultures. Amazing, right?
Cultural things are different and unique, and food is a cultural thing too. So, what about food?
You should try food from different countries. I’m sure it will be different from yours and you will love them! Today, we want to tell you about some food from different countries. Are you ready?
Let 's go!
First of all, we are going to talk about Italian food. It’s one of the most popular cultural foods you could eat. The proof for that is that most of us have already eaten a pizza or a bowl of pasta, right? But Italian food goes much further than that! Italian cooks use some special sauces, such as pesto sauce, and make recipes slightly different from the Italian recipes we cook here. We advise you to try these fantastic dishes, we’re sure that you won’t regret it!
We must talk about Mexican food, if we could describe it in just one word, it would be: Scrumptious. Mexican food includes a variety of awesome products that will make your tongue delight.
The most emblematic dishes in Mexico are Tacos and burritos, they consist of a slew, either meat, vegetables… wrapped in a thin and tasty layer of bread. It’s simple, but trust me, it’s yummy!
Mexican food also stands out because of its sauces such as Guacamole, and its exquisite vegetables such as chili, trying that is a real challenge!
If you are searching for delicious and exotic food, don’t search for more. Thai food it's your answer! Thai food offers you a mix of spicy, salty and sweet flavors, out of this world!Pad thai is the most notable dish in the country.
In Thailand one of the most used ingredients is very tasteful rice, which is actually toothsome with soups and frites.
One of the most notable dishes in Thailand is Pad Thai, which is chicken fried rice noodles, made with egg, tofu, vegetables, and a spooky sauce. It 's just heavenly!
In a nutshell, if you visit a foreign country, don’t forget to try their national dishes instead of eating the first thing you see. Always try to taste new things, that’s a good way to know other cultures and, of course, enjoy the magic of cooking. Goodbye!

Ingredients:
100 g flour
100 g butter
850 ml whole milk
A pinch of nutmeg
Salt and ground black pepper
1 loin of desalted cod
1 large onion
3 eggs
100 g of breadcrumbs
Extra virgin olive oil (for frying)
Preparation
1. We remove the bones that the cod may have. Sauté it in a pan with a little oil for a few minutes. We drain it well and reserve.
2. We put the butter in a saucepan, when it is dissolved we add the flour, stir, and "fry" so that the flour loses its raw flavor.
3. Add the milk little by little while stirring. We raise the heat a little and when the béchamel starts to boil, add salt and pepper and add nutmeg to taste.
4. Cook the cream for about 15 minutes, stirring to avoid sticking. After 10 minutes, add the cod and mix. We pour the dough into a bowl, cover it and refrigerate for 4 hours to solidify.
5. We take portions of the dough, make small balls, and we pass them through breadcrumbs, egg, and breadcrumbs, in this order. We fry the croquettes in plenty of oil and let them rest on paper before serving.
Preparation
1. Trim the green leaves so that they are easier to hold when eating.
2. Prepare the fire.
3. Place the calçots on the grill
4. Place the grill over the fire. Cook them from 5 to 7 minutes, turn them and leave them for another 7-8 minutes.
5. Remove them carefully, so that you don’t burn yourself, and wrap them in newspaper as they typically do it in Catalonia.
6. Leave them to rest for half an hour so they can finish cooking in their own heat.
7. Serve them with romesco sauce or a traditional sauce called salvitxada. To eat them, hold the stem with one hand, and with the other hand, pull down to extract the clean calçot. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
25 calçots
Romesco sauce
Ingredients:
8 Iberian pork cheeks
1 Onion
1 Carrot
2 tbs flour
1 Leek
600 ml water

Cinnamon
2 Bay leaves
Salt and pepper

60 ml extra virgin olive oil

4. Add the red wine with a pinch of cinnamon, thyme, and oregano. Stir and allow the wine to reduce. Once reduced, add the Bovril. Stir to mix and incorporate the water.
5. Remove the meat and with the rest, we'll prepare the sauce. Remove the bay leaves and pour the contents into a bowl suitable for a mixer. Blend into a sauce.
6. While the meat is cooking, we will put the potatoes in the oven to bake them.
7. At the time of serving, add the sauce to the carrillada with vegetables or potatoes.

And voilá, we have a delicious Manchegan Pisto to enjoy.
Torrija is a dessert in its most classic and traditional version, consisting of a slice of bread soaked in milk, later battered in egg and fried in oil. Finally, it is seasoned with sugar, although they can be curried with honey and cinnamon. It is very popular in Spain in Lent and Easter.
Bread is a carbohydrate-rich ingredient that also contains fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. For its part, the egg is responsible for providing proteins, fats and cholesterol, vitamins or minerals such as calcium. The milk in which the bread is bathed also provides a significant amount, as well as fat, cholesterol and vitamin.
It has the same calories as a regular whole-grain toast. Therefore, I recommend you to try this dessert, it is very healthy.

Well, this dish is healthy because it has different natural ingredients, like tomatoes, carrots, pepper or cucumber.
We think that is a nice drink for summer because it’s cold and delicious.
If you want to try something new and have a healthy life, you should try the Gazpacho.
We love Gazpacho!
The province Jaen is known worldwide as the cradle of the best olive oil in Andalucia and Spain. Its olive trees provide half the total production of olive oil in our country and 20% in the world. In Andalucia, It’s typical to eat bread with olive oil and sugar on 28th of February as a tradition.
1. First, we have to hand pick the olives by shaking the tree with sticks, and catching them in a net. Then, we have to harvest them with large vibrators.
2. When we have all the olives collected, we have to remove the leaves and clean the olives.
3. It’s time to put the olives in stainless steel mills to grind them with heavy granite stones.
4. Now, we need to mix the pulp in a large machine.
5. When it’s mixed, we have to extract the oil by cold pressing to take the liquid.
6. With the help of filters, we filter the oil.
7. When we have finished the previous process, we have to bottle the oil. .
The last step is ENJOYING AT HOME!

Cesar salad
Did you know what the origin of this famous salad is?
To the surprise of the majority, this originated in Mexico in 1926. It was created by three Italian brothers, called Cardini, Álex and Caesar.
One day, these brothers wanted to invite some friends to dinner , but they didn’t have anything to give them, so they made this salad with the ingredients they had at that moment.
Then this salad had a big success, and they expanded the business ¡IN HOLLYWOOD!.
Here are the ingredients of the César salad:
1 dozen of roman lettuce.
Croutons.
¼ cup of olive oil and 2 tablespoons.
3 garlic cloves.
4 anchovy fillet (the original dish doesn’t have this ingredient)).
1 egg.
1 tablespoons of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 little tablespoon of Perrins English sauce.
¼ cup of parmesan cheese freshly grated.
salt and fresh ground pepper .
It is recommended to serve it quickly so the croutons stay crunchy.
This dish gives us a lot of nutrients, Firstly water and protein, but it also provides iron and magnesium.. And you may think this is a normal salad , but it gives us a lot of energy because the olive oil and the other ingredients are very healthy.
The original recipe doesn't have meat, but it is actually very common to see this dish with meat, and it makes this less healthy so… ¡Come on! ¡ Try this espectacular salad with the original recipe! ¡You will see it’s delicious!
