All AISE students are expected to be properly groomed for school and to wear the school uniform daily unless otherwise announced by the High School office. Themed days are not dress-down days; students are expected to be in themed apparel or the proper school uniform. All AIS school uniform apparel should be purchased from the school's official store.
Shirt: The AIS Polo Shirt or the AIS athletics T-shirt is required. Students may also wear a white or navy sweatshirt or hoodie, but it must also be AIS branded or plain navy or white with no logos. Hoods may not be worn inside the building.
Not allowed: Any tops that have logos other than the AIS logo are not allowed. Plain t-shirts or polo shirts without the AIS logo are not allowed. To recap: students must wear a white AIS shirt (T-shirt or polo). Sweatshirts or hoodies can be AIS branded or plain navy or white with no logos. Any other colors are not allowed.
House shirts, trip shirts, and other AIS gear: Many students have AIS branded clothing, such as T-shirts or hoodies, from school trips and clubs. These may be worn on Thursdays only. Students are divided into one of four Houses and are given the opportunity to purchase House shirts or hoodies; these also may be worn on Thursdays only. On Sundays-Wednesdays, only the aforementioned uniform shirts can be worn.
Pants: Students may wear plain navy slacks or slack shorts. They may also wear the AIS P.E. sweatpants or plain navy sweatpants with no logos.
Not allowed: Pants with logos, tights, jeans, flare pants, or any other pants besides the ones listed above are not allowed.
Shoes: Students must wear closed-toed, closed-heeled shoes with laces.
Not allowed: slides, sandals, or any open-toed or open-heeled shoes are not allowed.
Consequences:
Students who are in violation of the uniform policy will be asked to call home to obtain the correct uniform. They will not be allowed to attend class without the proper uniform requirements and will have to stay in ISS. These policies were created and will be enforced in order to maintain a professional standard of learning here at AIS West.
