LATE ASSIGNMENTS/RETAKE/MAKE UP POLICY

Late Work Policy

• 1 school day - 10% off graded assignment 

• 2 school days - 20 % off graded assignment 

• 3 school days - 30% off graded assignment 

• 4 school days - 40% off graded assignment 

• 5 school days - 50% off graded assignment 

• NO assignments may be accepted after the 5 school days expire.  

Retake Policy

Summative assessments may be retaken, at the teacher’s discretion, within two weeks of the original assessment date if the student received a D or F on the assessment, provided that the student attends at least one after-school tutoring session before taking the reassessment. This opportunity will be available only once per term, and a parent’s signature will be required.

Makeup Policy

When a student is absent, it is his or her responsibility to communicate with the classroom teacher. Students will be allowed to make up missed assignments and assessments only when there has been an excused absence on the day of the assignment.

ISS and OSS

Students are required to complete their assignments during ISS or OSS. If they have a scheduled summative assessment, they must contact their teacher to arrange a new date. Failure to communicate with the teacher or to meet the revised deadline will result in a loss of credit for that assessment.
