Teacher Commitments
Teachers will continue to provide instructions to students at 7:30am WAT on the same day as the instruction. Grade level teams and specialists will continue to collaborate, ensuring correct instructional minutes and non-conflictual synchronous times.
Teachers will continue to respond to parent and students communication within 24 hours on school days.
Teachers will continue to use their non-instructional time to develop engaging, dynamic instruction that is standards-based, follows best practice and is both synchronous and asynchronous as necessary for lessons and assessments that are student centered.
Teachers will offer drop-in office hours each day for questions, remediation and support, even on days that are non-instructional for that day. On non-instructional days, these will not be obligatory for students. If remediation is required for a class on a non-instructional day, teachers and students will make a separate appointment if the office hours conflict with a class being taught that day (ie the class being taught on that day will be the priority).
