EE / TOK Matrix

The Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge are both scored on an A-E level. When combined with the final TOK score, the EE provides the student the possibility to earn an additional 3 points towards the Diploma.

A student MUST PASS (Achieve a D) the EE in order to be eligible for the IB Diploma
