This list is not exhaustive, but includes opportunities in multiple geographic locations and focused on various topics and interest. These camps and programs typical take place in June, July, and August. Their application deadlines vary. Pay attention and apply early!

Pre-College Academic Enrichment at World-Renowned Universities

"Between the Lines" Iowa International Writing Program (Iowa, USA)
Since 2008, the IWP has hosted Between the Lines (BTL), a two-week creative writing and cultural exchange program for students aged 15-18. Every summer, participants from all over the world come together in Iowa City to live as a community in university dorms, broaden their literary horizons, and deepen their empathy and their understanding of one another’s cultures.
Through honing their craft together and engaging in open-hearted discussions, a new community of young writers will connect the dots between their home cultures, sparking friendships throughout the U.S. and around the globe. With award-winning U.S. and international faculty as their mentors, participants spend 2–4 hours a day in creative writing workshops, world literature seminars, literary readings and Q&As with visiting authors, plus social opportunities for cultural exchange, group and individual writing assignments outside of class, and more. All programming is conducted in English.
Counselor's note: Iowa has one of the most renowned and well-respected writing programs in the country.
Rockefeller University Summer Science Research Program (New York, USA)
SSRP Scholars will participate on a research team designed and guided by scientific trainees from the Tri-Institutions (Rockefeller, MSK, and WCMC). SSRP teams mirror the structure of a research laboratory, where there are 1-3 lead team leads who are supported by additional scientists. Each team will have their own space and resources in one of the dedicated RockEDU laboratories. The SSRP experience is enhanced by relevant elective courses, guest lectures, workshops, networking opportunities, and social events.

Youth Ambassador Exchange (USA)
The Youth Ambassadors Program aims to develop a cadre of young adults from across countries in the Americas who have a strong sense of civic responsibility, a commitment to their communities, an awareness of current and global issues, and strong interpersonal leadership skills. The program aims to promote mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration between people in the United States and other countries of the Western Hemisphere.
Apply to the Youth Ambassadors Program for an opportunity to travel to the United States from the following countries. Country offerings and exchange dates are subject to change in consultation with the U.S. Department of State. Below is a list of programs for international applicants and their approximate program exchange dates.

The University of Chicago's Summer Session brings together a global community of thinkers who are excited by interesting questions and seek to engage new ideas. Discover diverse program opportunities designed to challenge and engage curious high school students this summer across a variety of subject areas and disciplines. Within a supportive community, pre-college students are given the chance to take intellectual risks, dive more deeply into subject matter, and discuss questions that go beyond the realm of their high school curriculum, while experiencing a dynamic campus situated in scenic Hyde Park in the city of Chicago during the best season of the year - summer!
National Youth Science Academy Camp (West Virginia, USA)
Hosted in Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia since 1963, the National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) is a residential science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) program designed to honor and challenge some of the nation’s rising leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with STEAM professionals and participate in exciting outdoor activities. Typically, two delegates are selected to attend camp from each state and the District of Columbia. In partnership with the U.S. State Department, we also host international delegates. Past countries represented include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago. Housing, meals, transportation, and supplies are provided to participants at no cost.
MIT Mathematics (Massachusettes, USA)
Advanced high school math students interested in research and mathematics can undertake research projects during the academic year as well as the summer. The two programs available to high school students are:

New York University (New York, USA)
The Tisch Summer High School Residential Program is an intensive, four-week pre-college program open to high school sophomores and juniors from around the world. The rigorous program is based on the Tisch undergraduate curriculum and the highly structured classes include projects, professional training, and collaboration. The program is tuition-based, culminates in a final grade, and four to six college credits (units). The last day of the program includes presentations, attending open class sessions, or showings of work for family and friends. Students apply to one of these artistic tracks: Dance, Drama, Production & Design, Dramatic Writing, Filmmaking, Game Design, Photography and Imaging, or Recorded Music.
All students are required to live on campus in NYU housing. Students are housed in residence halls either in Greenwich Village or Brooklyn, depending on their track of study. Curfews are put in place for weekdays and weekends. Program staff accompany students while on program-sponsored events and there are opportunities for students to leave campus on their own during their off time if they choose.

Constructor University (Germany)
In Summer 2025, join our Summer Camp at Constructor University for high school students. Throughout the program, you'll dive deep into your chosen academic subjects, experience university life firsthand, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Germany.
You’ll live on our beautiful Bremen campus, participate in engaging outdoor activities and sports, explore fascinating sites, and even learn some German. Plus, you'll have the chance to connect with fellow students from around the world, forging memories and friendships that will last a lifetime!

Savannah College of Art and Design (Georgia, USA)

SCAD offers pre-college programs during the summer and throughout the year for high school students of all ages to pursue art and design disciplines while working alongside peers from all over the world — and offer ideal opportunities for artists at all levels to create, learn, and grow.
SCAD Rising Star: Incoming high school seniors ready for a college experience benefit from the challenging and exciting atmosphere of SCAD Rising Star. Enrolling in one or two college-level classes and building professional portfolios, SCAD Rising Star participants benefit from all of the perks of being a SCAD student.
SCAD Summer Seminars: SCAD Summer Seminars offer weeklong workshops for high school students who have completed their freshman, sophomore, or junior years. Students gain valuable experience while developing their creativity through exciting art and design projects.
National Student Leadership Conference (USA)
The National Student Leadership Conference offers programs for middle and high school students in the United States.
The National Student Leadership Conference provides an immersive pre-college experience that prepares students for life beyond middle and high school, allowing them to study in university classrooms, learn to navigate a campus, and experience living with roommates. Students are able to explore a career concentration they are interested in before going into college and declaring a major. Each NSLC program also contains a leadership curriculum designed to teach skills that can apply to all areas of life.

Este programa tiene una duración de 2 semanas en el mes de julio. Este año se tuvo que abrir 3 ediciones distintas por la alta demanda y aun así se agotaron los cupos.
La primera semana es en Segovia y la segunda en Madrid. Durante la primera semana los chicos trabajan en talleres de Soft Skills y en la segunda semana ya trabajan en sus proyectos viendo diferentes áreas de especialización.
El programa incluye todo, alojamiento, alimentación, transporte, actividades libres por las tardes y los chicos están bajo supervisión todo el tiempo. Lo único que no está incluido es el pasaje aéreo.

Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is an academic enrichment program for outstanding high school students from around the world. Each summer, students from over 150 countries (including all 50 U.S. states) participate in one interdisciplinary, two-week session at Yale’s historic campus.
