When should students start their applications?
Many universities have their application window during the spring here in Cochabamba. Application systems, such as CommonApp, open in August. In the US, early action and early decision are typically due in the beginning of November, with many other applications due in December or January.
How many schools/universities should students apply to?
This depends on where and what the student wants to study. In oder to have as many options a possible, I recommend applying to several reach, target, and likely schools.
