Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) is a public university located in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Established on September 23, 1963, the university is named after Jenderal Soedirman, the first commander-in-chief of the Indonesian Army during the country's fight for independence, who was born in the Banyumas region. Unsoed offers a range of programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, including pre-bachelor's degrees, bachelor's degrees, and postgraduate degrees in various fields of study. The university has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and welcomes international students.
