Being LCP is a challenge but it’s the kind of challenge I enjoy!
I realized that the whole journey is a learning curve that’s why it is important to keep an open mind. Seeing the LC and its members grow is the most fulfilling experience I’ve had as an LCP and having to learn from the different situations I was confronted with was definitely the most humbling experience.
The top 3 things I gained by being the Local Committee President are decision-making skills, negotiation skills. and most importantly I’ve learnt not to give up when the going gets tough.
Honestly, I’d advise anyone who is willing to apply, to go ahead and take on the challenge, keep an open mind and be ready to learn from the experiences this role has to offer. Again as they say, “it’s good to be LCP!”
