Silver Cord Program

What is the Silver Cord Program?

The Silver Cord Program is a program dedicated to honor students who give their time to others in the community. The Silver Cord is a distinguished award available to AHSTW high school students with the purpose of recognizing their out of school volunteer efforts. Program participation is voluntary for all AHSTW High School students.

In order to receive credit for volunteering you must do the following:

Choose a pre-approved activity from the list OR communicate with Dr. Hinrickson either verbally or through email before the volunteer activity for approval.
Go volunteer! Take your verification sheet with you so you can get a supervisor's signature.
Fill out the reflection on the back of the verification sheet
Hand in the verification/reflection sheet to Dr. Hinrickson
