Behind the Wheel (BTW)

Must before register and pay for a certified BTW program before taking permit test - this is mandated by the state of MN
Students will be given payment instructions and options during the classroom Driver Education
- Online FeePay is the preferred option
Students will be picked up and dropped off at assigned HS
You do not need to call to sign up - student will register their enrollment in the classroom
- Registration will include preferred BTW times and best contact information
Consists of 8 hour of BTW training with a certified instructor
- 4 hours observation and 4 hours driving
You or your student will be called by a driver to set up the lessons
- This will occur roughly two months before the student is eligible to take the license test
- BTW scheduling hours are flexible (morning, afternoon, evening) and we will work with you to find a driver to best fit your schedule
Students will be issued a card upon completion that they will need to bring to the exam station in order to take the license exam
