What's New in Our Visual Arts Department
Senior Art Show 2026
It was a joy to present this year's Senior Art Show! The exhibition ran from April 27th to May 1st in the Black Box Theater. Teachers, students, and their friends and families attended the reception the evening of the 29th to support our incredibly talented senior artists. Their beautiful and thoughtful portfolios showed years of dedication to artistic skill and revealed so much about how they, as individuals, see the world. Congratulations to the one-of-a-kind artists of the Class of 2026. We’re very proud to have been able to celebrate all your hard work and see you off with an art show just for you!
Arts for Life! Recipients
Congratulations to Yechang Liu and Lina Song on being selected for the prestigious Arts For Life! scholarship. This $2,000 grant is awarded to only 35 seniors in the state of Florida out of hundreds of entries spanning visual and performing arts categories. We are extremely proud to have two visual art portfolios from American Heritage seniors featured among the best of the best!
Our students and their art teacher Ms. Preston will be recognized at the Arts for Life! Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, hosted by Jeb and Columba Bush, on Monday, June 8 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. The ceremony includes an exhibition of winning artwork and a showcase of winning performances, along with a panel discussion hosted by leaders in the arts community. Yechang and Lina, we are so proud of you both!
