On 25 September 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you. Do you want to get involved?

This course will give you the opportunity to access some of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) provided by Future Learn. Your learning will be through supported self-study during one lesson each week. The courses are of different durations. Most students will complete 2 or 3 during their year of study.

The courses are all based on-line through reading, video, audio and participation in discussion groups.
You will agree a programme of study with your teacher which reflects your own particular interests. You will be expected to study during lesson time and a small amount of homework will be required. You will keep a record of your study activities and discuss both your learning and your study methods with your teacher from time to time. By the end of the year you will produce a ‘product’ such as a planned assembly or lesson for younger students.
Each course requires you to complete a number of sections in order to record that you have successfully completed the course. Your teacher will monitor your progress.
