Aggieland High PTO SMS Program Terms & Conditions

1. Program Description The Aggieland High PTO operates a mobile text messaging program to keep school families, teachers, and volunteers informed about upcoming PTO meetings, volunteer opportunities, ticket sales, and flagship events such as Homecoming, Spooktacular, Winter Formal, March Madness, and Prom.
2. Opt-In & Subscription By providing your mobile phone number on a PTO sign-in sheet, online contact form, or membership packet, you explicitly consent to receive recurring automated SMS and MMS text messages from Aggieland High PTO. Consent to receive text messages is completely voluntary and is not a requirement to join the PTO or participate in school events.
3. Message Frequency Message frequency varies throughout the school year depending on the academic calendar and upcoming PTO event schedules.
4. Message and Data Rates Standard message and data rates may apply to any sent or received text messages under your mobile carrier plan. The Aggieland High PTO does not charge any fees for participating in this text program.
5. How to Opt-Out (STOP) You can cancel your subscription and opt out of our text messaging program at any time. Simply reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. We will send you a single, one-time text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages unless you opt back in.

7. Carrier Liability Mobile carriers are separate entities from the Aggieland High PTO and are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The Aggieland High PTO ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our school families, staff, and community partners. SMS Messaging Data: When you opt in to our text program, we collect your mobile phone number, opt-in date and time, consent records, and a log of messaging history.
Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, our hosting platform may collect basic usage metrics (such as your IP address, browser type, and page views) through standard cookies to ensure website functionality.
3. How We Use Your Information We use your personal information strictly to support the students and staff at Aggieland High School, including:
Sending event reminders, newsletter updates, and volunteer requests.
Processing memberships, ticket purchases, and spirit wear orders.
Verifying volunteer and chaperone lists against approved background checks.
Maintaining accurate internal financial and meeting records.
4. How We Share Your Information We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information. Your information is never shared with third-party businesses, sponsors, or outside organizations for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Authorized PTO Board members to manage operations.
Our trusted technical service providers (such as our SMS broadcast platform, EchoTexting, and Google Workspace) solely as necessary to send the emails or text messages you requested.
5. Strict Mobile Number Protection Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, and originator opt-in data are kept strictly confidential. We do not share, sell, or disclose mobile numbers or opt-in consent to any third parties or affiliates under any circumstances, except as required by law.
6. Children’s Privacy Our services are intended for parents, guardians, and adult community members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently gathered data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it.
7. Your Choices & Rights You have complete control over your contact information:
Emails: You can unsubscribe from our email lists at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our emails or by messaging info@aggielandhighpto.com.
Texts: You can unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Access & Corrections: You may contact us at any time to review, update, or request the deletion of the contact information we have on file for you.
