Pay at the hotel vs Pay Now via Credit Card

With certain properties, you may be presented with the option to pay now or to pay later at the property itself. If you select the option to pay now, you will be charged the amount in the currency that you select immediately. If you select to pay at the property, the only amount that will be charged at the time of booking is the “Booking Deposit (Service fee)”. Always make sure to read the payment timing to ensure accurate information. Here’s a sample of Pay Now and Pay at the Hotel option: 

 If prepayment for your Booking is not required, you can choose to pay at the time you use the Hotel Reservation.

 If you select this “pay later” option, the applicable Hotel Reservation supplier will take payment for the Hotel Reservation in the local currency at the time you use the Hotel Reservation

How it may sound: 

"I recommend we process the payment now if you have your credit card handy because tax rates and foreign exchange rates could change in the time between booking and stay. If you process the booking with your payment now, we are locking that rate in."
