PRICING IS DIFFERENT ONLINE:
State your explanation in a matter-of-factly tone. Avoid using phrases that will make you sound unsure like "I think the price has changed", or "I guess that room is no longer available".
Suggested Spiels:
"Prices are subject to change literally by the minute as rooms do sell out. So right now we're looking at the most updated price from the hotel."
"I’m looking at the live inventory right now - that room might already be sold out"
"That's always going to be starting price - that might not be inclusive of taxes and fees."
“By reserving the rate now, you are locking in that price.”
Create that urgency to close a sale and use the pay now option instead of pay at the hotel since there is a high chance of having the amount changed due to conversion rates.
“This hotel rate I’m offering is only available for a limited time and may no longer be available if we don’t book now. What would be the best email address to send the confirmation to?”
