As part of our outreach mission, we are pleased to offer a variety of collaborative facilities to our workforce and community partners. These facilities are primarily located on Kirtland Air Force Base and Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Collectively, these facilities form the core of the AFRL-NM "Open Campus" concept bringing together a diverse array of capabilities that foster research & development, economic development, community development, and human development.

Our flagship location is based in the Lobo Rainforest Building and serves as the home of the Tech Engagement Office. In Spring 2019, we added a long-term collaborative work space at the UNM Science & Tech Park located at 801 University Blvd. We also maintain the AFRL Maker Hub which is available to anyone with access to Kirtland Air Force Base free of charge.
