Roots to Fruits

Roots to Fruit Midlands Ltd are a not-for-profit Social Enterprise based in Birmingham that have been delivering their unique brand of outdoor learning for the best part of a decade.

They identified very early on that the entire National Curriculum is to be found in the natural world - and specifically in the areas of gardening and horticulture.

Working closely with our class teachers and curriculum leads, Roots to Fruit cleverly take the traditional subjects being taught in our classrooms and compliment them by carefully blending and weaving those subjects through their delivery in the great outdoors.

Its vital that numeracy, literacy, history , geography and especially the sciences are enriched in new, interesting and exciting ways - Roots to Fruit provide that outlet.

As well as giving our students a better understanding of the how the world works in a practical, academic way; Roots to Fruit also provide our students with a sense of their place within that world and the things they can do to make it a better place to be.
