The Academy Day

Children are encouraged to arrive at school from 8:30am, when they can enter their classroom and organise themselves ready for the start of the Academy day. For the safety of everyone, the class doors are closed at 8:50am, and anyone who arrives after this time, must enter the Academy via the main office.

Pupil Assessment

Assessment is an ongoing process and takes place every day in your child's classroom. Marking is the most common form of assessment and is used to plan the next step in the children's learning, and to monitor their progress. Teachers will keep you up to date with their progress when you visit for the Parent Consultation meetings.

More formal assessment takes place at specific times, usually towards the end of the Academy's academic year, and is used to monitor the progress of a child across the year.
