At Ashingdon Primary Academy, we are passionate about delivering a high - quality curriculum, which provides children with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful and remarkable members of the community. Our curriculum has evolved into a tool with which our children can better shape their school experience, their relationships with others and the future world they will inhabit.

The impact of our curriculum can be discovered everywhere within our school. It can be heard in the words of our children, discussing their learning. It can be seen in their books, showing carefully sequenced learning. And it can be sensed in the children’s enthusiasm for learning. 

As a school, we ensure the impact of our curriculum is closely monitored and we are committed to reviewing and developing our curriculum to improve outcomes for all of our children. We celebrate all positive outcomes from our curriculum but we are clear that a successful curriculum for our children achieves the following:

A successful curriculum for our children enables them to understand that they belong - to realise that they are part of something. 

A successful curriculum for our children enables them to access our rich human heritage and it gives them the knowledge and skills they need to one day contribute to it.
