Schedule for Monday, November 6th
During advisory on Monday, your teacher will give you a white envelope for your camp money and two colored luggage tags that correspond with the bus you will be on. If you are attending camp, you are not required to wear your uniform.
Please arrive by 7:45 AM on Monday morning. You'll see five spots designated for each bus. Find the one that matches with your luggage tags, and place your things in that section. If you have medications, please drop them off at the medication table. Remember, your medication should be in a clear, plastic bag with your name on it, and in its original packaging. Once you have done that, head to your advisory teacher's classroom.
If you have money for the camp store, it should be in a sealed envelope with you first and last name, advisory teacher's name, and amount.
We will be leaving school at 8:30 AM. The drive to Julian will take about two hours. If you get carsick, it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication.
If you are not attending sixth-grade camp, you will be attending school as normal.
Schedule for Thursday, November 9th
We will be leaving Camp Marston at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 9th. We will get to school by 12:00 PM. You may be picked up at this time.
Getting back on track
If a student makes poor choices, a staff member will discuss the issue with the student and will fill out a responsibility card that details how the student will behave in the future. If problems continue, conversations that include the instructor, classroom teacher, and phone call to parent/guardian will take place. Any further issues may result in the student’s dismissal from camp . Parents and guardians are responsible for immediate transportation home.
Reasons for the Rules
Our standards are a result of the high expectations we must meet to provide 24 hour care for the students we serve. The natural environment, outdoor activity schedule, and resident setting all require that we take safety very seriously. If a child exhibits defiance, lack of respect, fighting, stealing, or any other behavior that puts either themselves or others in danger, they cannot remain as a participant in our program.
