We are committed to build Baskog nga Dumalogdog: Sowing Seeds of Transformational Health and Reaping Wellness

Dumalogdog lies in the southern part of the Municipality of Sindangan with a land area amassing around 884.7426 hectares. It got its name from the person who was believed to be the first occupant of the area. His name was "Duma" and he lived nearby the waterfall which produces a sound "logdog", hence the name Dumalogdog. Barangay Dumalogdog started its existence on December 22, 1936, by virtue of Executive Order 97. The population of barangay Dumalogdog is around 2,234 residents.  Around 1,157 of them are male while 1,077 of them are females. Dumalogdog is an agricultural abode with rice and corn as their staple, and farming as their main source of livelihood.

Visayan and Subanen are two of the most common dialects spoken by the people. The vibrance of the community is best seen during their fiesta which is celebrated on the 16th of August, and during the Araw ng Dumalogdog, which is celebrated on February 14 every year. Barangay Dumalogdog is currently under the leadership of Hon. Rogelio R. Bulac, the Barangay Chairman with seven other barangay kagawads.

The Baskog nga Dumalogdog team is composed of Level 1 medical students from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Medicine. These students are coming from various backgrounds joined together in their venture towards a healthier community.

We are committed to build a Baskog nga Dumalogdog!
