ACORN held a climate-ready workforce roundtable on October 23, 2025 with educational institutions, state agencies, economic development organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and area students to increase awareness of workforce needs. View the final program.
ACORN convened the Adirondack Climate Conference on March 6, 2025 with speakers identified through the listening sessions, and their participation in the conference made it more locally relevant and community-led. One thing that people loved about the climate conference was that it brought together communities from inside and outside the Adirondack Park, and this was a novel connection for many attendees, which is valuable for building social cohesion across the region. Links to the recordings from plenary sessions of the Adirondack Climate Conference are in Appendix C of the North Country Rural Resilience Roadmap Report.
