The Adirondack Climate Outreach and Resilience Network (ACORN) is a partnership of Paul Smith’s College, The Wild Center, and the Adirondack Research Consortium, with funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the Adirondack Community Foundation.
ACORN’s mission is to work together to identify community-driven solutions that ensure the rural North Country region is proactive in responding to the changing climate through conversation, connection, and collaboration in listening sessions. ACORN works to foster community-level leadership that builds on the strength of the region from the ground up, connecting neighbors with neighbors, and planting the seeds for rural capacity-building.
