No Smoking Day is an annual health awareness day in the United Kingdom which is intended to help smokers who want to quit smoking. The first No Smoking Day was on Ash Wednesday in 1984, and it now takes place on the second Wednesday in March.
In this light, the SHS Clinic supports the prevention and cessation of the commercial use of tobacco products in students, staff and visitors. Regardless of how long you have used tobacco products, quitting now can greatly reduce serious risks to your health.

Cigarette smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, causes many diseases, and reduces the health of smokers in general.
CDC and FDA recommend that people not use THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products, particularly from informal sources like friends, family, or in-person or online dealers.
Young people who use e-cigarettes may be more likely to smoke cigarettes in the future.
EVALI stands for e-cigarette or vaping use-associated lung injury. It was originally known as VAPI (vaping associated pulmonary illness). Because the disease is so new, the course of the illness is unpredictable
Cigarettes and E-cigarettes can contain other harmful substances besides nicotine.
Each year, we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 to raise public awareness of the global TB epidemic.
