The AdDU SHS Clinic intends to provide Health Assistance and Support Programs through fostering wellness, solidarity and service in this time of crisis.
The Ateneo de Davao University Clinics is concerned with the holistic well-being of its community. It ensures a health program that is comprehensive and coordinated. Its main goal is to provide medical and dental services directed at:
a. Diseases that are preventable e.g. Communicable diseases
b. Initial treatment of medical situations e.g. Wounds, burns, acute musculo-skeletal injuries
c. Initial treatment of diseases which may have ensued inside the campus that may affect the school community e.g. fever, cold, headaches, etc.
It does not intend to care for diseases that are chronic in nature defined as a disease that persists for a long time. A chronic disease is one lasting three (3) months or more, by the definition of the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics. Chronic diseases generally cannot be prevented by vaccines or cured by medications, nor do they just disappear.
It does not intend to attend to diseases that necessitate a specialist’s care and expertise.
