In third grade we believe that it is important for students to learn spelling patterns that they can apply to their reading and writing. Rather than give a set list of 10 words that students must memorize each week and then promptly forget, we will be studying a pattern. At the end of a two week cycle, students will be given a test where they must apply the pattern to a list of 10 surprise words. Look below for the weekly pattern and some examples.
