This log was the first out of four logs I wrote for L2k. It was about the impacts of social media on teenagers and whether or not it should be kept or not. This topic was mandatory, although I enjoyed researching and learning about how social media affects teenegers, especially as someone who has been impacted myself.
This seminar was the first L2k seminar that I participated in, and it was about whether or not Physician Assisted Suicide should be legalized. I argued for PAS, and was very fascinated during the research period. Overall, this seminar was a ver positive experience and I learned a lot about the topic.
This was one of my favorite L2k speeches. The project was to take a technology concept from a show or movie, and see how it could be implicated into the real world. The technology my group chose was from the show Black Mirror, and it was a system that set up people in relationships and gave specific time limits for each couple. It's basically a more monitored dating app. This project was very engaging and it was interesting to see how we could take this concept and add it to pre existing technology to make it work. Overall, I loved this speech.
