This course will prepare students for AP Studio Art and/or life experience. Students work on creating a comprehensive portfolio that best showcases their talents and interests in visual art. This includes a variety of media/techniques, and will be combined with a miniature 4 piece independent investigation of choice media/theme. An art show is the final product of this course at the end of the semester.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Art III Honors
Students are expected to have strong work ethic, fostering confidence, responsibility, experimentation, and originality.

Sketchbook 11x14 (mixed media paper recommended)

a set of Drawing Pencils
Erasers
Portfolio Case (you may buy one or can make one out of cardboard)
Mat Board or Foam Core- needed at the end of semester
Prisma Colored Pencils (24 or 48 Pack)
Multi-Pack Brushes – All Media (Round, Flat, Chisel, Etc.)
Black Ink Pens (Micron pens-fine, medium, wide)
