Art III Honors
This course is a continuation of art techniques, processes, media and aesthetic issues at an Honors Level. Assignments are designed to strengthen student originality, sophistication of content and personal ideas about art. Knowledge of the arts in relation to culture and careers will be promoted through written coursework and research.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Art II
In Art Honors courses you are expected to:
Time manage and keep up with deadlines
Identify and formulate problems, as well as the ability to propose and evaluate ways to solve them.
Push past original ideas and continuously work on art
Engage critically and constructively in projects.
Accept constructive criticism and learn from it.
Materials Required for Class:
Sketchbook 11x14 (mixed media paper recommended)
Highly Recommend Materials:
1”Painters Tape
a set of Drawing Pencils
Erasers
Prisma Colored Pencils (24 or 48 Pack)
Multi-Pack Brushes – All Media (Round, Flat, Chisel, Etc.)
Black Ink Pens (Micron pens-fine, medium, wide)
