Originally from New Jersey.  I came to North Carolina when I attended Warren Wilson college as a pre-veterinarian major.   I worked at Tuscola High School for 18 years in the science department before coming to Asheville High.   I switched to CTE 3 years ago and would have come a lot sooner if the position was open.  CTE allows me to  teach students about the biomedical world with real life scenarios and hands-on learning.   I hope to show students that  a career in biomedical science has many diverse pathways and numerous specializations and is a vital part of our community.    When I am not in the classroom, I spend a great amount of time riding and competing with my horses.
