CTE Administrative Assistant, Asheville High School

Born and raised in the Asheville Area. This is my 21st year in education,  I began at my alma mater, Erwin High Schools as the Distance Learning Facilitator and then moving to the Counseling Administrative Assistant for 13 years. I have been in Asheville City Schools since 2017. I was drawn to CTE because of the relationship that I had with the Career Development Coordinator when I was at Erwin. She showed me the importance of CTE. Then when my children were in high school I saw first hand the doors that CTE opened and the growth that my daughter experienced through FCCLA and FFA . In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. Random fun fact: When I was 16 years old, I travelled with my aunt, uncle, sister and best friend across the country in a RV (the big green machine).
